During the time of Elijah there reign a king by the name of Ahab. King Ahab turned the children of Isreal from God. You may say that he has a reputation to act against God's believes.
Along came Elijah, a simple noble man whose name came from 3 root words. El means 'God', i means 'my' and jah mean 'Johavah'. Together is states 'My God is Jehovah'. He had the faith and the confidence to speak up to King Ahab. He confidently acknowledge the existance of God and claims that there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except his words. Pretty brave young man. His faith comes before what his eyes can see.
Elijah went through 3 seasons with God after he spoke of him. This is the making of a Man from God. He went through a Season of Isolated Pain, Season of Total Dependance and Season of Unconditional Obediance. Basically we all experience these 3 seasons through out our lives. Maybe you feel left out from a group or possibly someone does not treat you the way you should be treated. This is a time of isolation to be with the pain inside you. No one else can take that pain away. After that you are elevated to a spiritual level with God and then he blesses you with the courage of obedience to stand on your own two feet again.
