It is finally here! I don't have words to describe my joy. I have always wanted to upgrade my current iBook G4 to the MacBook Pro and today that dream came through. It has been two days and I am loving the total experience. My iPhone works seamlessly with it without having me to tell it what to do. Migration from the iBook G4 to the MacBook Pro was effortless. Now I have more room to think about my creative side and I know my machine won't break down on me. My previous iBook G4 was faithful to me. It has been 4 years now and it has gaven me very little problems.
The clean finishing of this machine is amazing. There is nothing to distract you. It is simply beautiful. I am not saying this because I am Mac fan but honestly this machine is a real joy to use and look at. Built with absolute fire power under the hood, I am sure it is going to be under use. I am only using it to surf, for studies, designing artworks and music writing (with the use of Finale). I have done some of those so far and there was no traces of system lag or wait time. Everything is fast and I know I am just teasing its full potential. I am going to name her Mimi!
I am still awaiting the Magic Mouse to arrive. As for now I am still settling with the Mighty Mouse which works pretty well with the MacBook Pro. I can't wait. I did have a little problem with static issues on this machine as its outer casing is made of aluminum. Went to a Mac forum on the net to find out that there were many others around the world who are facing the same issue. This happens when the wall plug is not earth/grounded well. There was a solution and that is to use Apple's adapter extension cable. It comes free.
