I have seen Hachiko on Lonely Planet before and I have never thought I would be able to meet him face to face one day. Here is a statue of him that was made to celebrate his loyalty to his master. So sweet and sometimes sad to know that he waited for nine years without a clue that his master is already dead. Hachiko is a Akita Inu breed from the highlands of Japan.
