Agra: Public toilets

Off we went to see the Taj Mahal. It was another 5 hours journey and I was about to fall sick from the acceleration and deceleration of travelling. I always feel better whenever I think about the Taj and to know that I will be meeting her in a few hours time just makes this trip even better.

The countryside looks the same as the stretch we took from New Delhi to Jaipur. Filled with mustard farms and a few oasis of coconut trees, we were travelling at high speed to blur it all up. Along the way we had to stop for toilet breaks. Our hearts were pounding just by the thought of it. We took our courage and went head on to take our chances... it was clean! Thank God!

Outside the toilet was a water well that offered free drinking water. 'Victor!' I shouted. 'Why don't you try drinking it and tell me how it taste like'. Victor replied without even looking back 'Are you nuts?! Drink my pee and tell me how it taste like' and we were soon off again on our journey.

Our second toilet stop had me bursting with desperation. I raced to the toilet door before the others did. It was an achievement for me but I found out that I was missing out on something bigger. I found out that the others took to the streets to pee into the mustard farm. An experience I was not able to keep as I have ran out of pee.
