I am back from work and I am tired, both mentally and emotionally. The only way I can escape from it all is through this blog. Looking at this photo just brings back so much memories for me. It just hits you whenever a great trip like that has come and gone. You tend to wonder whether this little expedition of yours was just a dream. Like was I there, OMG, I can't believe I was just there. All I have now is this little window in my blog to transport me back to Agra again, the land of the Taj.
Of course the Taj Mahal eventually became a mausoleum for its creator and his wife. A good thing to know that having prayers in a mausoleum is a no go for muslims. That is why they built this structure, two of them for your information, each on both sides of the Taj Mahal. They are both exactly symmetrical, especially if you would to stand exactly in between them. Everything is about symmetry back then. I do like how then blend the red sandstone with the white Indian marble. Both of them contrasting each other of course to tingle your visuals.
