There are just as many people on the streets as there are transportation vehicles. Most of them are clad in colourful Indian outfits. Somehow colours just rhymes with India. It is a place filled with colours and contradicting scenarios. These kinds of experiences can very much be felt in the central city of Delhi. We are here to do a little shopping. A friend of ours is getting married and we are about to play dress up, actually my friends are and not me. I brought my own Indian outfit on this trip, in which I have been using for all my Indian friend's wedding.
So what kind of outfits are we looking for? There are so many variations of Indian outfits and everyone of them is used for a different occasion. Victor has expensive taste and once chose a beautiful white sparkling outfit. It looked and fitted perfectly on him, only to find out that it was made for grooms. He would have outshine any Maharajah that night if he would to come walking in and wearing that. Ben on the other hand has no preference and he got a red one, Arnan got a simple white one. Arnan is local so whatever he wore fits him anyway.
This market area is just pilled with clothings. We were taken through cracks, up a flight of stairs and down alleyways to find the best outfits. It took some time as we applied the price comparison strategy. I wasn't there to buy anything, the same stance I took when I always travel. When my company shops, I either follow them around and give them my opinion or I stand outside looking like another piece of government property waiting to be vandalized. I enjoyed standing by the street that day just observing its chaos.
