CNY visit to Thailand

Chinese New Year was great fun, considering that half my time there was taken up by my thoughts of my accounting exams. I did manage to get some timeout in Thailand. We took an hour to drive to Songkhla and spent the rest of the day in Hat Yai.

In Songkhla you will not only get to witness the pretty white beaches but also to see come face to face Laem Samila, a bronze statue of a topless mermaid. There was no doubt that her bronze boobs were well polished. There was a Thai restaurant by the beach which serves up excellent Thai food. I am telling ye, the Thai people have good taste. Somehow they have managed to find a way to tickle your taste buds.

By the beach there lay many small stores selling all kinds of items from cooked eggs with kaya oozing out from them to fortune telling services. School girls would crowd around the fortune teller to ask about their future. They were focused on to every word she said. Unfortunately this session was in Thai. I see couples relaxing by the beach and spending their days away being together. I wish we could do the same in Kuala Lumpur. You would probably get a heat stroke before you could say 'I Love You'. By the beach you will also see a beautiful garden that has its bushes shaped like animals. I managed to catch a glimpse of an elderly man peeing there.

Next stop is Hat Yai. We travelled to another country to shop in Carrefour. Amazing! Mom bought some pillows and we ate at the food court which serves up so so Thai food.
