"Hi Richard, we are planning to visit an orphanage. Would you like to join us?" ~ "Most definitely!" Visiting others who are less fortunate makes you realize how much more the world needs in return. Unfortunately most of us were never thought to give more, rather to take in more. It can work both ways. You can either stand there and pity them OR realize the fact that you have more then you ever need and to be grateful for whatever it is that you already have.
What is so cool about these kids is that they have never learned to shield or hide their true self. What they have to offer is their down to earth souls. Realizing this, I knew exactly what they really wanted to tell me. Here goes. "Richard, I don't want your pity as I may never see you again, instead I accept the fact that you are more fortunate then I am. I need your help to change the world for the better and to stand on moral grounds to help others who are in need" That was my take from the visit. Thanks guys! You know best.
