New Delhi: Street stalls

Eating by the side of the streets in India has its risks. I don't intend to be adventurous this time around. I was told to stay away from fresh vegetables like tomatoes and salads; which I so obviously did. I was also told countless times to watch what I am about to drink. Let's just say I had an overdose of mineral water over the last week. 'Look out for the mineral bottles with blue caps on it! Those are the ones you should buy', as they advised me wisely. I drank a few white ones along the way and the blue ones started to look like beacon in the middle of a dark churning ocean.

I have come to understand how strong Indians really are. Not because they are born that way. It is because of their environment. An Indian friend of mine so willingly drank lemonade and ate snacks from the side of the streets. Surprisingly nothing ever happened to him. We had cough and sore throats, not mentioning respiratory issues along the way,  and not even a stroke of luck befallen him. Hopefully we came back stronger, with the stomach of an ox and the lungs of a dancing elephant.
