Siem Reap, braving the flood (30/09/09)

Our flight was scheduled for 7 in the morning. Cindy and I met up with Sam and Liz at Sam’s house just before 4. I was half asleep when I got there. I learnt something strange that night. You will start to realize how much involve you are with your day-to-day activities just before a trip. For example, make sure work is sorted out before taking off. Ensure that your workmate is well prepared to back you up. Sort out VUMBA club activities. Transfer lecture slides into iPhone. Pack! I was stressed damn it!

Cambodian time was 1 hour before Malaysia’s. I am currently on the plane and we are about to reach in an hour’s time.

It has not stopped raining ever since we touched down at 8.15 that morning. Most of the roads were under water. Strong winds were causing fisheries to come to a halt. The van we were traveling in was a road monster. It braved through flooded waters. Its wheels took the beating from the rugged road.

Later in the night we had some Happy Pizza. The herbs, as they call it, is weed. It was sprinkled on top of the round baked dough.
